Through being mindful, you discover how to live
in the present moment in an enjoyable way, rather than worrying about the past or being concerned about the future.
Mindfulness means paying attention on purpose,
in the present moment, with acceptance, curiosity and kindness.
Welcome to a Practical Guide to using Mindfulness in everyday life.
During the 8 week-one hour sessions we will
focus on developing a formal and informal meditation.
A formal meditation where you intentionally take
20 minutes out in your day to embark on a meditative practice. You will learn about free apps that can assist you with your practice at home after the course is over.
Informal meditation is where you use practical
techniques to staying present throughout the day while you are cooking, driving, talking to friends and dealing with co workers – anything at all.
Although each session will have about 5-10 minutes
of some form of breath and movement activity, this is not a yoga class.

Formal Meditation: ( 1 – 6 Sitting or Lying)
