Be Strong – FIVE simple strength movements you need to prevent/repair injury and build your most powerful yoga practice
Movement specialists know variety isn’t just the spice of life, it’s core to staying injury-free and progressing in any physical practice. As a yogi you’ve got a great foundation for overall health, but even well-rounded practices lack a few basic moves you need to stay strong long-term.
In this workshop, Waterloo movement guru and creator of Pranalife Yoga Teacher Training (pranalifeyoga.com/training) Asia Nelson will teach you FIVE strength and mobility movements to keep your body balanced and powerful instead of stuck in plateaus and pain.
Who this workshop is for: No yoga experience required. These movements are foundational to ANY physical practice. If you’re bored or injured (or want to keep from being either), this workshop will change the course of your progress from stalled to inspired. Bring phones/notepads to record sections of this workshop to take with you. No equipment required beyond your mat; dowels will be provided.
Meet Asia: Asia Nelson has been teaching yoga for 15 years, training and certifying yoga teachers for eight, and studying leading-edge strength and mobility practices intensively for the past six. What she’s learned from the wider world of movement study is revolutionary for the yoga community, and basic to all future movement training.
Yoga Teachers looking to expand their movement knowledge base are welcome.
